Tomato Bisque

tomatoes1 28 oz can San Marzano

1Heat butter and olive oil in a large pot over medium heat.butter: 1 tbsp, olive oil: 1/2 tbsp

2Cook and stir diced onion and diced celery with salt until onion is translucent, 5 to 8 minutes.diced onion: 1 c, diced celery: 1/2 c, salt: pinch

3Stir in garlic and cook until fragrant, about 1 minute.garlic: 4 cloves minced

4Add chicken broth and tomatoes into onion mixture.chicken broth: 4 c, tomatoes: 1 28 oz can San Marzano

5Add black pepper , dried basil , paprika , and Creole seasoning . Bring to simmer.black pepper: 1/2 tsp, dried basil: 2 tsp, paprika: 1/2 tsp, Creole seasoning: 1/2 tsp

6Reduce heat to low

7Add medium grain rice .medium grain rice: 3 tbsp

8Let simmer for ⏱️ 35-45 minutes or until vegetables are very tender. Add sugar .sugar: 1 tsp

9Blend with an immersion blender until smooth.

10Stir in cream and adjust spices if needed. If soup is too thick, add additional broth.cream: 1/2 c
